Mentorship Programs
Haven isn’t just a place to work — it’s where Niagara’s most interesting professionals actually help each other grow. Our mentorship programs connect founders, freelancers, and professionals with experienced operators through structured clinics, peer-led skillshares, and warm introductions. No pitch decks. No networking events with name tags. Just real conversations between people who are building things.
Challenges
Why community mentorship matters
Remote work can be lonely
Working from home means fewer hallway conversations, fewer spontaneous brainstorms, and fewer chances to learn from someone who’s been where you’re going. Mentorship fills that gap.
Generic networking doesn’t work
Collecting business cards at a mixer is not the same as sitting across from someone who can actually help you solve a problem. Haven’s mentorship is structured for depth, not breadth.
Niagara needs a professional network
The region has incredible talent but limited infrastructure for connecting it. Haven bridges that gap with regular programming that brings the right people into the same room.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to be a member to attend mentorship events?
Most mentorship programming is included with Community and Full Membership plans. Some events are open to the public — our Wednesday open house is always free.
Who are the mentors?
Our mentors are Haven members and community partners — founders, executives, and specialists with real operating experience. No paid speakers or outside consultants.
How often do mentorship events happen?
Mentorship clinics run monthly. Skillshare lunches happen bi-weekly. Coffee circles are weekly. Check our events calendar or ask at the front desk for the current schedule.
Can I become a mentor?
Yes — if you have expertise to share, we’d love to have you. Talk to the Haven team about leading a skillshare or volunteering for mentorship clinic hours.
Is this like a formal accelerator program?
No. Haven’s mentorship is informal and community-driven. There’s no cohort, no curriculum, and no equity involved. It’s professionals helping professionals, on their own terms.
